This is a splendid garnish for all things needing a little crunchy texture; this includes casseroles, salads, savory torts, frittatas, omelets, lo and chow miens, paellas, jambalayas, pot pies, all sorts of snacks,etc. Simple to prepare, and will keep for days if you can keep from nibbling.
INGREDIENTS
1 cup COOKED Beulah Land Tan, Beulah Land Medley, Missimati Bayou Bouquet Fragrant Brown Rice, Missimati Bayou Bouquet Fragrant White Rice, or Delta Belle White Rice
3 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt, or to taste
METHOD
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
In small mixing bowl, mix all ingredients. Spread uniformly on baking sheet to a thickness of no more than ¼ inch.
Bake for 15 minutes, or until some edge kernels are brown and most are golden brown.
Cool, use immediately, or store for up to 3 day for eventual use. Enjoy!
